Luxury and natural splendor unveiled in San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende (August 21, 2012) – Sagrada Wellness Mexico will officially be renamed Sagrada Boutique Hotel today, 21st of August 2012, following an extensive renovation. Set in the world famous UNESCO city of San Miguel de Allende, Sagrada Boutique Hotel, features 3 Villas and 2 larger Casas in an intimate and private setting with panoramic vistas.

Conveniently located only 14 minutes away from historic centro of San Miguel, Sagrada Boutique Hotel is a haven of comfort and serenity. Sagrada Boutique Hotel stands alone as San Miguel de Allende’s best kept secret luxury boutique hotel. “Guests can expect to be treated like family here, while relaxing in one of the most peaceful and sacred places in the world,” said Blair Shurtleff, owner of Sagrada Boutique Hotel and who has more than 29 years in the hospitality business.

The hotel’s eco-designed adobe villas draw inspiration from its location nestled in the hills of San Miguel de Allende. The Villas and Casas are located throughout 22 acres of pristine botanical gardens, hence enjoying spectacular unsurpassed views of the Valley of San Miguel and five different mountain ranges.

Sagrada Boutique Hotel features an adobe dinning lodge, with library and movie lounge. Why we moved full time to Mexico……..

June 27th, 2012

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:

We wanted to give all of our past guests a little insight of why we moved to Mexico full time as we are asked daily;

It was quite a progression really…..

We have been coming to Mexico for over 15 years now and at first it was just for fun events and vacations which bring most of us here, tropical and bit more exotic from the anywhere USA locations in the States. Right away the culture of Mexico enveloped us and transformed our state of mind to a more relaxed and slower pace.

The norm of US living and materialism is not as intense here in Mexico. Yes people here aspire to have nice things and up to date technology but not the extreme rate of consumption and needless spending on STUFF that is felt elsewhere.

The Food here is extremely healthy, FRESH and for the most part is 80% Organic, as the meats, cheeses and produce are grown at local farms or produced locally. Fresh fish daily! Free range chicken and eggs. Fresh juices and coconut water daily!

The main focus in Mexico is family and friends and the basic necessities of life. In time, we started spending more and more time, mainly in Puerto Vallarta with lots of smaller trips into the interior of Mexico which opened our eyes to the rich history and culture that Mexico has to offer.

Once we had built Casa Pericos, which is another epic story in its self, we had an opportunity to trade our California Guest Ranch for our current and spectacular Ranch and Boutique Hotel in San Miguel de Allende. There was a conscious decision that we wanted to be in Mexico full time. We love all of our family and friends back in the U.S. and are able to visit when ever we want but the Mexico and cultural lifestyle tends to suit us much better.

We feel safer here, taxes, food/restaurant prices are incredibly low and one can live very well on very little money and the dollar is sky high right now so everything is so much less!
